UPDATE: US Marshals Task Force Seeking Elusive Criminal

After an exhaustive investigation, members of the US Marshals Fugitive Warrants Task Force have taken one of Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers 10 Most Wanted into custody today.

Bruce Martin, wanted for violating terms of his state probation for the sale/delivery of cocaine, was tracked down shortly before noon today in Hendry County.

**UPDATE #1**

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s Fugitive Warrants Unit, Octavius Pullen has been taken into custody.  Detectives arrested Pullen late this afternoon and he was booked into the Lee County Jail at 3:55 p.m., where he was charged with armed burglary, grand theft and the grand theft of a firearm.

“These criminals can run, but ultimately they will get caught,” said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator.

Hunt is on for man accused of killing DeSoto teen

Southwest FloridaCrime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down a man accused of gunning down two teens, leaving one dead and one still recovering from his injuries.

DeSotoCountydetectives say Reece Thomas Sturgis (DOB 10/2/95) is one of three men responsible for the murder of 15 year old Melvin Hearns and the attempted murder of 19 year old Deandra Williams.

Crime Stoppers Most Wanted finally in custody

The man who has sat atop Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers Most Wanted list for seven years is finally in police custody, after an extensive investigation that’s been years in the works.

Early this afternoon, members of the US Marshals Service Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Wesnel Isaac, DOB 4/25/81, in his native country of Haiti.

Violent Offender Added to 10 Most Wanted List

Two days after being added to Crime Stoppers 10 Most Wanted list, Antonio Hall has chosen to turn himself in at the Lee County Jail.  After being named as one of Lee County’s most wanted fugitives, Hall turned himself in at the Lee County Jail at 9:12 this evening.  Hall will face first appearance before a judge tomorrow morning, at which point a decision on bail will be decided.

Crime Stoppers appreciates the support of media outlets in helping encourage this wanted felon to do the right thing and surrender to authorities.

Accused child molester arrested this morning

Just two days after being placed on Crime Stoppers’ 10 Most Wanted list, accused child molester Anthony Miller was arrested just over an hour ago in Fort Lauderdale.  Miller was added to the list on Tuesday, and an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip was received just 24 hours later with information on his whereabouts.

Crime Stoppers youngest “Most Wanted” suspect arrested this morning

A 20 year old repeat offender, who’s been committing felony crimes in Lee County since the young age of just 11, has finally been taken into custody.  Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Warrants Task Force arrested Fernando Vega, DOB 2/5/93, just before 9 a.m. this morning in North Cape Coral.  Vega had been on the run for just over three months, this time for violating terms of his community control following an arrest for burglary and grand theft.

Interstate cooperation leads to arrest of SW Florida fugitive

Interstate cooperation was at its finest this week, when a tip provided to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of a Lee County woman who had fled from justice and was attempting to hide in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Danielle Renee Woodall, of Coral Springs, Florida, was wanted on warrants in connection with a grand theft case in Lee County.

Crime Stoppers Most Wanted murder suspect apprehended

After an exhaustive manhunt, the search for Crime Stoppers Most Wanted fugitive has ended.  This afternoon, members of the New York-New Jersey US Marshals Fugitive Task Force took Robert Toribio (DOB 9/23/73) into custody in Manhattan, New York. Members of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, based out of Fort Myers, have been working closely with their Task Force counterparts in New York/New Jersey for the last few months, with the strong belief that he was hiding out in the New York City or Newark, NJ area.
