String of late night robberies believed to be related
Southwest FloridaCrime Stoppers is seeking information on three separate robberies that occurred during the evening hours of Thursday, April 17th which all appear to be related. The first incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on the 2000 block of Williams Drive in Fort Myers. The victim stated that he was bringing his trash cans to the curb when his wife spotted a black male, brandishing a handgun, emerge from some nearby bushes and rush towards her husband. She yelled to her spouse to hurry up and get inside the house.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying an unknown man who broke into a 62 year old woman’s home earlier this week, held her at knifepoint, then sexually battered her, while her four year old granddaughter was asleep nearby.
The attack happened shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday, April 21st in the 5000 block of 5th Avenue. According to the victim, she was asleep in her home when she awoke to find a Hispanic male in his 20s standing at her bedside, with a knife to her throat.

Southwest FloridaCrime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying two males and three females responsible for the theft of about a dozen bottles of liquor valued at approximately $400.00.
On October 12, 2012, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to Publix Liquor, 13401 Summerlin Rd., Fort Myers in reference to a grand theft. The investigation revealed that the suspects entered the store in two separate groups.
