Wanted: Wesnel
Isaac
May 10, 2008
At
least three men are dead, and others injured in the
violent path paved by one of Lee County’s 10 Most Wanted
criminals.
Reid Graham is remembered
by his family as one of the most gentle people they
knew. A 55-year-old stroke victim, Graham was disabled
and blind in one eye… certainly not a threat to anyone
around him.
But his life was brought
to an abrupt end in September 2007, when he and two
friends were kidnapped from Graham’s home in Bonita
Springs, murdered, then left in the backseat of an
abandoned car in Lehigh.
“This was in retaliation
for a drug rip off. It just so happened that it happened
at his house. He had nothing to do with it - he was an
unfortunate victim," said Sgt. John Long of the Lee
County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say four
people are responsible for the triple homicide. In the
weeks following the murders, three suspects were
arrested. But the fourth, and maybe the most dangerous,
Wesnel Isaac, is still on the run.
“They are extremely
dangerous and sociopathic. It’s a business, it’s a drug
war and it’s staking out turf,” said Lyle Graham, the
brother of Reid Graham.
Without a doubt, Wesnel
Isaac is one of the most violent criminals on the run in
Southwest Florida. In addition to being named as one of
the shooters in the triple homicide, he’s also accused
committing a home invasion robbery just one week earlier
in North Fort Myers. Detectives say he’s well known in
criminal circles, and has people afraid to talk, in fear
of being the next one on Isaac’s list.
“Other people knew these
things were going on - they saw Wesnel Isaac with an
AK47, but no one wanted to come forward and talk to
police, because they were scared for their own safety,"
Graham said.
And until the day Wesnel
Isaac is back behind bars for good, his path of murder
and drugs will likely continue. It’s how he makes his
money - and it’s the lifestyle that he’s chosen to live.
“Call Crime Stoppers and
let us know where he’s at so we can get him off the
streets before it does it to anyone else," Long said.
Anyone with information
on the whereabouts of Wesnel Isaac is asked to call the
Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All
callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for
up to $1,000 in cash rewards. Tips may also be made
